BANOR FOR UNICEF

THE FUND THAT SUPPORTS UNICEF: EURO BOND ABSOLUTE RETURN

BANOR’s cooperation with UNICEF started in 2017 with the aim of supporting the “Fighting Child Mortality” campaign launched by UNICEF to save children’s lives throughout the world. The initiative is tackling several problems, from health to nutrition, from access to clean water to adequate sanitation. Through the Banor SICAV Euro Bond Absolute Return Fund, Banor is donating up to 40% of management fees to the Italian Committee for UNICEF Onlus Foundation*.

THE RESULTS ACHIEVED FROM 2017

As of 31st of December 2022 Banor Capital has contributed to the project Fighting Child Mortality of The Italian Committee for the UNICEF ONLUS with the sum of EUR 44,912.52 (UNICEF 2018-2022 data).

In the last five years, thanks to Banor’s support, UNICEF has been able to distribute over 2.5 million water purification tablets, provide relief from severe malnutrition to 300 children and vaccinate 43,500 children against measles*.
Professionals in our sector and our clients/investors are, for the most part, fortunate people, at least from a material perspective. However there are people in the world who are less fortunate, especially babies and children and UNICEF takes care of them.
You can do good while continuing to look after your portfolio!

UNICEF IN THE WORLD

Children are children. They’re not toys, they’re not soldiers, they’re not brides. It doesn’t matter where they’re born or grow up, whether their country is at war or at peace. Children need care, protection and food. And even if they’re enslaved, refugees or exploited, no-one can stop them from dreaming.

That’s why every day, in more than 190 countries around the world, even the most remote and difficult, UNICEF brings children solutions that are called vaccines, water, schools and shelter. Every day, UNICEF fights to reduce the number of child deaths – right down to zero – with effective, low-cost initiatives such as vaccination programmes and treatments for acute malnutrition.

UNICEF conducts programmes in the fields of health, services, water supply, education, and in protecting and assisting mothers and children. It takes action in humanitarian emergencies, not only by sending essential supplies such as high-nutrition food for children, health and medicine kits, water purification tablets, and waterproof sheeting and blankets. It also provides psychological support programmes for children traumatised by conflict or by natural disasters.

For both its development and its emergency programmes, working closely with the beneficiary communities is always a key element of UNICEF’s intervention methods. UNICEF provides these communities with technical and material support, so that they can take ownership of their own, sustainable long-term development.
